Students read silently, then 1–2 students read aloud.

• People live everywhere on Earth.
• Humans are different from animals.
• People can communicate, think about the future, and change the world.
• Humans must protect the Earth, not destroy it.

V. Reading Comprehension (5 minutes)

  1. There are five billion people in the world.
  2. People live in different parts of the world: poles, jungles, cities.
  3. People can choose to look after or destroy the world.
  4. The biggest difference is that people can communicate and record ideas.

VI. Pair Work (8 minutes)
Task 1: Animals and People (compare what animals and people can do)
Task 2: Discussion (Do animals have a sense of past and future? How do people destroy/protect the world?)

VII. Grammar: Articles (7 minutes)
Fill in the blanks (13 ҷумлаҳо бо the/a/an/—):

  2. The benches on which you are sitting are comfortable.
  3. The box was made of — wood.

VIII. Dialogue Practice (8 minutes)
Read and act Dialogue 1 (Movie), Dialogue 2 (Family), Dialogue 3 (Friends).
Pair task: Make your own dialogue about animals / environment / friendship.

• What new ideas did you learn today?
• Are people better than animals? Why?
