Today we are going to speak about your future profession. This topic is very important, because everyone must choose the right job in life.

IV. Reading the text (10 minutes)
Text: “My Future Profession”
Teacher reads first, then pupils read one by one.
Main idea: The girl wants to become a teacher. She studies foreign languages. Foreign languages help people understand other cultures. Teaching is a noble and important profession.

VI. Grammar & Practice activities (10 minutes)

  1. Three forms of verbs:
    Fly – flew – flown

    Go – went – gone
    Grow – grew – grown
    Hear – heard – heard
    Know – knew – known
    See – saw – seen
  2. Maths in English (23 + 16 = thirty-nine, 48 – 18 = thirty, 40 × 5 = two hundred)
  3. Pronouns: mine, yours, his, hers… (explanation and short answers)

VII. Speaking – Dialogue & discussion (5 minutes)
Read and act the dialogue from the book.
Example:
A: What do you want to be in the future?
B: I want to be a doctor.
A: Why?
B: Because I want to help people.
Pair task: Make your own dialogue about your future profession.

VIII. Retelling & Conclusion (3 minutes)
Who wants to retell the text shortly?
Every profession is important. Foreign languages help us in modern life. We must choose the right profession and work hard.
